coming soon to a school near you…

Hello everyone,

I am thrilled to begin 2020 by announcing a new project! This semester, I will host Sketch Noting classes for adults at Georgetown Day School! I have been hoping, manifesting and now planning for this type of work for a few years, so I’m beyond excited to bring it to fruition (with the support of my incredible colleagues at GDS).

If you are in the DMV, I would love to have you join me. There are two opportunities described below, and all information can be found on the GDS website. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Love and light,

LK

P.S. These classes will be geared toward those in the classroom and schools but will be accessible and beneficial for folks in other industries, as well! If you aren’t in education but are interested in sketch noting, I’d highly recommend joining me for the 4-week series!

Sketch Noting to Deepen Learning and Awaken Creativity: 4-Week Series

Whether you are an educator looking to help students take better notes, a parent hoping to help their child study for tests, a business-owner looking to better market your company, or an individual looking for a creative outlet, Sketch Noting is your answer! Join Lauren Kinnard, GDS Spanish teacher and Professional Sketch Noter, to develop a new way of capturing, distilling, representing and remembering information. Students will learn how Sketch Noting improves memory and information-processing, as well as the basic elements and skills needed to Sketch Note. Rather than focus on a particular area (classroom, business, home, etc.), this class is designed to teach a skill that can be incorporated into many aspects of life and the topics and content will be co-created by the students and Lauren. No matter what interests you about Sketch Noting, this class is for you!  No artistic skill necessary!
