Since this is a holiday week, I chose to doodle about a book by an author that has been instrumental in my personal growth and healing over the past few years. Rupi Kaur has written two books of poetry that touch on a variety of themes- immigration, womanhood, sexuality, family, rape, love, oppression, to name just a few.
Below you’ll find my #doodlenotes on her latest book the sun and her flowers. I included excerpts and poems that fell into two categories- love and lessons. Please know that this doodle just skims the surface of the wisdom in her writing.
I hope this post and my notes on Rupi Kaur’s words illuminate our shared humanity during a week in which we are prone to loneliness while in the midst of family and friends.
Love and light,
LK
